Each term BLENNZ Auckland North/West are given a number of free seats for the Tim Bray show at The Pumphouse in Takapuna. The theatre company allows our blind and low vision children access to props and scenery, to listen to the music and to meet the actors/feel the texture of their costumes before the show in the very well planned touch tour. This, along with front row seats and an audioscription, allows BLENNZ learners to be fully access the show.
Tim Bray is an incredible supporter of the vision impaired community and has won awards from Arts Access Creative NZ for commitment to accessibility. He is considered a pioneer in making theatre accessible for deaf, blind and special needs ākonga and their whānau.
