The purpose of Immersion courses is to bring groups of learners together to introduce and further develop skills and knowledge in areas of the regular and expanded core curriculum. Parents accompany their child to courses up to the age of 8 and in some circumstances to courses beyond this age.
Small groups of Resource Teachers Vision develop resources and deliver course programmes with the expectation that these skills continue to be developed and consolidated when the learner returns to their local area and thus contribute to positive learner outcomes.
This year 16 learners attended screen reader training courses. All learners returned home with a set of tutorials with accompanying exercises on a USB to support them to continue to develop their knowledge and skills.
A highlight of all courses this year has been the new Outdoor Learning Environment. Learners have thoroughly enjoyed this new area and made the most of every opportunity to travel and explore the area independently.
